A chance to own a great piece of history! Up for sale is a Marshall Fields and Company Chicago steamer trunk by Oshkosh. The last patent on the trunk is 1930. The initials L.S. are on the trunk. It aligns when put together and goes together but doeslock/shut completely, possibly some part of brass closure is missing. Does have aslight musty odor.It has all the drawers on the right side of the trunk and has a curtain with an iron on the left side of the trunk. I think something is missing from the bottom left of the trunk, possibly a shoe drawer? It has the Marshall Fields and Oshkosh tags on it. It is brown and there is wear on the outside as it has not been restored. There are some white marks also on outside. It has the leather handle on the trunk and it looks there are numbers on the handle. It measures 42 by 22 by 23 andweighs approximately 100 pounds. It is in great shape considering the age of the trunk! Still has great value to own, would be a great piece to restore!
