Here we have an interesting carved dog Meerschaum pipe in a leather case. The reddish-brown dog is sitting on a carved log.The interior of the case is marked \"Real Meerschaum and Amber.\" The stem is, of course, amber and is connected to the pipe with a sterling silverband.

The bottom of the case is lined withvelour and the upper half with a taffeta-like material with the label imprinted in gold letters.

The pipe appears to be in good condition. Although, there are several white spots on the dog. I presume this is from wear. There is also a small chip near the bowl.The length of the pipe is approximately 4 inches.
