For sale here is a wonderful and whimsical covered Tobacco Jar. It is likely to date to the Meiji Period (circa 1900). The figural skull jar is made of carved wood. Entwined by what appears to be carved ox or cowbonesnake, emerging from the eye sockets. The wood has a lovely patina. No scratch small pieces applied to the bottom as shown.

Size-4.5 tall, 4.5 long, and 3.5 inches wide.
