I will be listing a variety of nice estate-fresh Antique and Vintage Items this week. Here is an ANTIQUE MEISSEN PORCELAIN SNAKE HANDLED CUP & SAUCER with BLACK GRISAILLE DECORATION ON CUP OF GRECIAN STYLE CLASSICAL WOMAN AT ALTAR WITH BIRD. The Cup has a blue crossed-swords mark with an asterix below and impressed numbers. The matching Saucer has a blue crossed-swords mark with what looks like the number \"4\" below it. It also has early numbers impressed on bottom. Possibly 18thC or Early-19thC vintage. Saucer is 5-11/16\" diameter.
Condition: The Cup has a small and shallow chip on the bottom rim. The Saucer has a similar sized small chip on outer rim and another similar small chip on the bottom foot rim (see photos). No other chips or cracks. Mild wear to the gilt decoration with spots of worn gold on the interior top rim of cup being the worst spots. Will pack with care for buyer as with all my items. INSURANCE INCLUDED in the shipping total. Massachusetts buyers pay the 6.25% sales tax.
