Antique Meriden Britannia Co Silverplate Footed Teapot, Pattern 2024

Description: This is a silverplate teapot made by Meriden Britannia Company. It is from the pattern number 2024 and appears to be from the early 1900s. This teapot stands upon four ornate, scroll work feet. The hinged lid is top with a lovely finial. The handle and spouteach havea lovely beaded and floraldesign. The teapot measures approximately 7 1/2\" tall, 8\" from the spout to the back of the handle, and 4 1/2\" in diameter at the base. The bottom is marked \"MERIDEN B. COMPANY QUADRUPLE PLATE 2024 5 U.S.A.\"

Condition: This teapot has been used and has wear/marks on the inside. The bolt on the inside of the lid that holds the finial top in place has rust on it. There is minor surface scratching on the teapot that is appropriate for its age and use. There are a few areas with scratches that are slightly deeper than surface, such as next to the spout (seen in lastphoto below.) Overall, this is a very nice pot with a great design.
