Description This week I have pulled together several miniature oil lamp items. This is a nickle plated oil lamp filler in very nice condition. In Ruth Smiths second book \"Miniature Lamps II\", on page 48 shows two metal oil containers, and the description notes them as fillers for oil lamps. I think these could be used to fill any item that burned an oil such as miniature lamps, banquet lamps, chafing dishes and the such. Similar examples of fillers were shown in a promotional brochure from 1897 and was listed as an \"Alcohol Flagon\". Others examples were shown in a catalog published by the Rochester Stamping Company from around 1915, making the date ideal for use with miniature oil lamps.
There are several different styles and shapes of these fillers. Some of these fillers came in all brass while others were a combination of brass and copper, this example is nickle plated. This filler has a unique design with the ring of beading around the top of the squaty round body section as seen in the photos. The stamping on the bottom looks to read \"S & S Co.\". I could find nothing about this comapany in my quick search. This filler is in super condition as seen in the photos. I believe everything is original and works as it did when new. Take a look at my other sales for other styles and examples of these types of fillers. Look the photos over carefully and be sure to ask any questions if you have some. Overall: Filler is in super condition but is NOT new and show signs of use and age as shown in the photos.

Soil: These items have not been cleaned. That will be left up to the high buyer.

Shipping

Shipping is to be paid by the buyer. Shipping charges will be officially quoted after the items are packaged in a box at the end of the sale. The shipping estimate provided in this sale can change. Shipping costs are quoted for Media Mail on printed items. I wrap and box the items as securely as I can. I never charge a handling fee and there are never any hidden charges.

For international orders, insurance is only available if International Priority Mail is used. Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer\'s responsibility. Please check with your country\'s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to offerding/buying.

Refunds

Please offer only if you intend to honor your offer with payment. All items are sold \"As Described\". I do my best to describe all items accurately. However, mistakes and oversights can occur. Returns will be accepted within 3 days if item is found to be not as described, this doesn\'t cover breakage in shipping. If a resolution can not be made, refunds will be given, and will include the original offer amount and shipping cost. Refunds will be given once the item is received and verified to be in the same condition as when it was sold.
