A late 19th-centuryMinton majolicaoyster plate with a green & brown mottled glaze, iridescent in the right light,and an embossed daisy & fan decoration in the Aesthetic taste. Impressed MINTON mark as well as British registry mark and date cipher for 1882. Itmeasures just shy of 10\" in diameter. In very good antique condition with no chips, cracks or repairs--expected fine overall glaze crazing that is barely perceptible. 3 small as-made, stilt marks to the underside.
