Late Victorian/Early Arts & Crafts Movement Oak Rocking Chair with Arms- UpholsteredThis Rocker was made about 1900 (I bought it from the man that was rocked as a baby in it in 1926 and he said his older sister was also rocked in it as a baby)
The rocker incorporates the Arts and Crafts Movement straight lines and grooves. That movement began in 1880 so that is the oldest this rocker would be. The latest it was made is 1920 -year of his sister\'s birth.
I recovered it and re-stained it in the original golden color about 10 years ago and there is no wear on the upholstery since it sat in the guest room all that time.
It is made of Oak and is very sturdy.
Rockers and arms in great condition-no cracks or breaks.
Red Floral pattern fabric
Little pillow is included.
