Circa 1920\'s - 1930\'s
Beautifully done in bright red enamel
on both front and back, the portrait is
on a raised center vignette surrounded
by gold scrolling curlicues most of the
gold has worn off. This is a really nice
vanity/compact case by Mondaine
featuring a copy of a painting done by
Salomon Guillaume Counis of
Napolean Bonaparte\'s sister, Marie
Pauline Bonaparte (Princess Borghese).
It was titled \"The Beautiful Greek\".
Inside the compact on the left side are
two original puffs in used condition,
Underneath them are two wells one
marked face rouge pats pending and
the other is marked face powder pats
pending. There is a metallic mirror on
the right which also lifts to reveal a
fully-fitted interior with eyeliner pencil,
eye shadow, brush, and a empty well
for lip gloss. This used Compact is in
really good condition, it does have
some minor scuff/scratch marks on it. Any questions please contact me.
