This is a captured Battle of Palaoborokatpickup. Moros were well known for their brass hand crafted urns, or cooking pots. Under the lid is a paper label stating that this urn was a captured item and brought into the US on May 14th, 1918. The original paper label is typed as follows \"Captured at the Battle of Palaoborokat June 27th, 1916. Moro outlaws under Ampuanagous against Constabulary column. 18 Moros killed and 23 wounded; 47 arms captured. 1 Constabulary officer 1 soldier wounded.\". This is a hand crafted brass urn. The base is lead or other metal with brass overlay. The pot and lid are solid brass. The urn stands about 11 inches in height and has a diameter of 10 inches. Excellent original condition.
