Beautiful Antique Royston Turquoise & Sterling Navajo Ring

Sterling Silver Navajo Dead Pawn Ring, setting comprised of a blue green Royston Turquoise Gemstone.

DESCRIPTION:

Sterling Silver – tested out to at least .925. Rope and ball table design, oval Royston Turquoise stone, non-serrated bezel, Toolwork hammered “V” with impress hammered arrows on both sides of ring shank (where shank meets bottom of table. Excellent early example of Navajo Native American silversmith work with high quality turquoise gemstone.

SIZE: Ring size is approximately a size 8 1/4- if you do not know your ring size, see a jeweler who will be able to tell you yourring size. Please double check your ring size before purchasing.Sterling rings can NOT be re-sized -wedo NOT accept returns of resized (or attempted resizing/re-soldiering, cut or otherwise altered rings).Please see photo in photo gallary showing ring sizemeasurement.

Material: Sterling silver and Turquoise.Turquoise appears to be Royston to me given the rich dark blue green turquoise color along with the gold / bronze and light blonde matrix running through the stone - you might agree/disagree...so please see the photos and judge for yourself.We have researchedmany varieties of turquoise and this is a dead ringer for Roystonturquoisein our opinion. Metal tested out several times to at least .925 sterling silver.

Age: 20th century. Estimate 1900s – 1920s based on age of stone, design of ring, and hammered symbols on shank. Comes from an old estate where all the antiques were turn of the century Victorian or Art Nouveau. The prior owners had an obvious taste for quality in everything they collected. This appears to be \'dead pawn\' jewelry to us, as it does very closely resemble \'Dead Pawn\' type and style jewelry in the vast majority of references on the subject of Dead Pawn jewelry - obviously always arguable, but our opinion is \'Dead Pawn\'. Please do your research, draw your own conclusions, and make your own judgements before deciding whether or not to purchase this item.

Mark: The ring has hammered tool marks on the band which are arrows, and a “V”. (see photos).

Condition: Pre-owned. Used. No cracks or chips to stone. Silver is in excellent physical condition with some surface tarnish which new owner may or may not want to clean.

WEIGHT: weighs about 14 grams.

Size of Stone (NOT including bezel) - Approx 1\" in length and approx 1/2\" in width (see photos showing measurement with ruler.)

This is a beautiful old antique Navajo Dead Pawn Indian ring in excellent condition for its age and use. Gorgeous turquoise. Hard to find them much better than this.
