A better than average piece of toleware. A original paint, 90% intact, one small dent - no other damages or repairs. This is a very interesting motif of a man ( Icabod Crane style ) leading a prize rooster. Very well rendered and unique brushstrokes. Love the colors and details. The pot is large and sets out well upon a shelf or table. 11\" high x 9.5\" x 7\". Inside is nice and clean - never saw use as a coffee pot. I left it as found covered with patina and dust.
This is one of the most splendid pieces of folk art toleware I have seen - really nice find.
