This is a very interesting piece from the early 1890\'s.
Can\'t find one exactly like it so don\'t know the particulars about it.
The 30 drawers held some kind of papers that they would record dates on bottom of drawer. That\'s how I know time frame.
The paper glued to bottom of drawer says \"The Globe File - Record of Transfers\" and then dates were hand written.
I am about positive it is made from oak and was hand crafted.
It is a very impressive piece and a conversation piece as well.
Has some missing trim work at the top and a few drawers don\'t have brass label holder but is otherwise in very good condition considering it is almost 130 years old.
