Up for offer is an antique oil gauge with beveled glass. This looks to be nickel plated brass and has a patterned edge on the side of the bezel surround.

The diameter of the mounting circle (piece with the mounting holes) measures approximately 2 11/16\" across. The back measures 1 63/64\" across in diameter. Stamped at the bottom of the black face plate is: U.S. GAUGE CO.N.Y. Stamped at the upper edge of the black face plate is: PAT\'D SEPT. 1906.

Application: This should be universal. Please do your own research.

Condition: This is in very good condition for the age.

-The black face plate is clean and clear, and the numbers are nice and crisp.

-The beveled glass looks very good for the age. There are no cracks, but there are a few light surface scratches and a few tiny flea bites (tiny pinhead sized or smaller chips) at the beveled edge.

-The needle has a little paint loss, but otherwise looks good.

-The bezel surround and mounting circle have some surface finish loss revealing the brass underneath. The decorative bezel surround cover unscrews smoothly to reveal the black face plate. There are a few small dings at the outer side edge of the bezel surround and mounting circle. There are no cracks or breaks. The back looks good.

Everything looks to be here, but this has not been tested, so is sold as is.
