We are in the process of downsizing and are selling items that will not fit into our new residence. Up for sale is an oil painting that we have had for a while. In fact, it was recently reframed. This was painting in the mid 1800s, possibly earlier. It is in excellent condition - has a little paint crackling as you can ascertain from the pictures. But there is no damage. We had a number of paintings which reflected rural European life and this was one of our favorite. Very well done. At some point in time, someone took the time and effort to get it cleaned as it appears to be free from the carbon deposits that we have encountered from other paintings we had purchased.
