Offered for sale is this large antique Old Paris porcelain tureen, decorated with turquoise and gold bands. The handles and finial are beautiful. The tureen dates from the third quarter of the 1800s. They may be some of the typical manufacturing flaws you find in antique Paris porcelain - specks of soot in the porcelain, small firing flaws, and similar. There is the usual wear found in pieces that are over a century old, and as you can see in the pictures the gilding is worn on some spots, though that adds to the charm and beauty of a well-crafted and loved piece. The tureen is 10\" long, 7\" deep, and 5.5\" tall. More pictures can be taken upon request.Please take note that for some reason the pictures show up as more green than anything. In actuality, the color on this is in fact a turquoise.
