This is an exceptional fine olddouble purfled violin labeled:\"Io Bap. Rogerius Bon Nicolai Amati de Cremona alumnus Brixiae fecit Anno Domini 1670\"

The sound is powerful, rich, deep, with a lot of colors. Good condition, with some old and not visible repairs. No cracks under the bridge or on the back. The length of back is 360 mm. Whole length 592 mm.

Two pieces back of softly flamed maple wood, the top is made of a medium grained spruce. Thevarnish has a deep brown color.
