This great vintage or antique Yanomami tribal basket (called a Wii) was probably made c. 1930. It has a great antique look and was clearly use over its long life. It is made of mamure palm fiber anc colored with plant color called Onoto. It was then decorated with charcoal to create its parallel undulating lines. The basket is 8.75\" tall and is 9.75\" in diameter at the top. It has an attached palm or rush carrying strap. It is in nice original condition
