VintagePainted Tin STROH’S Bohemian Beer SignSurvivor –
Here is mylatest piece of antique advertising, this great tin Stroh’s beersign was discovered recently in western Michigan. According toWiki….” “In 1908,Bernhard Stroh\'s brotherJuliusStrohtookover the brewery. After a tour of famous European breweries, heintroduced the European fire-brewing method in the Stroh brewery”.This was after Stroh Bohemian Beer wona blue ribbon at theColumbianExpositioninChicagoin 1893.
The sign wassalvaged and preserved by attaching it to a substantial wood backframe. It appears that the sign and frame corners were beveled toremove old corner crush that usually exists on 100+ year old tinsigns? This in no way diminishes the graphics of this RARE old pieceof Stroh’s beer advertising.
