Offering an exquisite pair of antique electrified French Oil Lamps.
Bronze toned metal "urns" embellished with applied ormolu mounts. These "appliques" encircle the lamps -- sweeping curvaceous garlands of "Morning Glories" embellished with charming bowknots.
The ormolu is very sculptural, in high relief, with fine crisp detail. The combination and juxtaposition of the gold tone ormolu and the deep bronze tone of the lamps is very elegant.
In very good antique condition -- no missing ormolu or cracks. Minor wear and patination commensurate with age and use. Quality lamps -- double cluster with pull chains. Please note lamps work, but as with all vintage lighting we recommend checking and updating wiring if necessary.
Elegant design, stately silhouette.
Measurements for one lamp: Approximately 26" tall (base to top of finial screw). Lamps have risers, which can be adjusted to 28" tall. Each lamp measures 7" in diameter (widest).
