An intriguing looking pair of Glasses for enjoying fine cordials / liqueurs. A hard to find style.I believe the taper midway is meant to minimize oxidation, while the upper flare leaves enough room for the nose to appreciate the bouquet. Tra La LaMaybe just the thing for a trueconnoisseur.
Made of fine clear glass with thin bowls and awesome spiral stems.stands 7 ½\" tall with 2 ¼\" diam mouthand 3\" diam foot
One has a small remnant of a yellow paper label, at the base.I don\'t know the exact age or the maker, but I know they are at least mid-1950\'s and look to be possibly 1930\'s or older, since they have the tell-tale signs of being hand made with an old style blow-mold (sharp seam-ridges on the stem, with slightly out-of-round mouth rims) common in the 19th century.That they are inperfect condition actually doesn\'tsurpriseme, considering I got them from an avid stemwarecollector, along with a lot of other amazing old pristinepieces (a few of which I have also listed for sale, if you are interested).That and the fact that the Victorians had all sorts of odd glasswares thataren\'tused much anymore, makes me think these may be old, but I\'m no expert.Thanks for looking.
