Antique Paper Mache German Belsnickle Santa Riding a German Paper Mache Green Pig Candy Container. The Santa is approx 4\" tall seated and would be approx 4-1/2\" tall if his legs were straight. The Santa has painted features and rabbit fur beard and moustache, red felt suit w/off white or cream colored trim and he has black composition boots with worn paint, old glue on his rear end, poseable legs and there is a green paper sprig stuck in his suit and he has a woven German basket glued to his back. The Pig is missing his belly plug or paper label and has a hand made cardboard plug for the hole in his belly where the treats were stored. The Pig has Hand Painted Features, wooden legs and pipe cleaner tail. There are age lines around the Pig\'s legs that attach to his paper mache body and this is typical from age he has his original green paint. Legs are sound, and he is in great condition for his age. The tail was missing and I found a vintage pipe cleaner that matches very well and the pig would have had something similar. The pig is approx 5-1/4\" long and with the tail included in the measurement it is approx 6\" and approx 3\" tall. The Santa and Pig together are approx 5-3/4\" tall.
