This handsome Masonic medal would make an excellent addition to any fraternal collection! The ornamental piece is circa 1894, and was used to honor a Blue Lodge Past Master. This medal has been fashioned from 14k yellow gold and features fine detailing and a polished finish. The badge is composed of a top bar attached to a hanging wreath medallion.The top name plate bears a blue enameled G at the base, the all-seeing eye at the top, and is accented by a beautiful scroll inspired border. The name C. W. Hastings is engraved into the center plate against a matte surface.The emblem below is comprised of a compass and quadrant. A carved genuine pink moonstone Sun Face is set between the arms of the compass, atop a ring of emanating rays. The compass is accented by intricate scroll work and a blue enamel circle bearing a star at the top, while the square features measurement lines. A textured wreath frames the emblem and gives nice definition to the badge. The back of the badge engraved Presented by Hiram Lodge No. 144, 1893 - 1894.The top bar is fitted with a hinge pin clasp which is easy to use and in great working order. This jewel has been professionally tested to verify the 14k gold puritycomposition, and would make a wonderful gift, or a fine way to showcase your Masonic affiliation! This piece comes in a handsome black case, as can be seen in the photographs. This badge weighs12.6 grams. The piece measures2 1/2\" (63.5mm) long and 1 1/4\" (31.7mm) wide.
