This timepiece belonged to an elderly gentleman who was selling his entire pocket watch collection. He always collected the very best and finest pieces he could find, and spent his whole life gathering this stunning collection of watches. I am very pleased to offer this antique Peoria Watch Co. 15 Jewel pocket watch made for railway service!

This stunning watch features a white dial with elegant black Roman numerals and a sub-seconds dial! The dial is signed“PEORIA WATCH CO. FOR RAILWAY SERVICE.\".

It is running strong on its adjusted 15 jewel anti-magnetic, safety pinion movement. The serial number is 17555 and it dates to c. 1894!It has been cleaned and serviced and is running strong and keeping time, though we cannot guarantee accuracy for vintage watches.

The movement is housed in a beautiful and elaborate Gold Filled Keystone case, which measures approximately 53mm in diameter. Inside is an inscription in German, dated 1894! There are some light marks and scratches and a shallow indent, as is to be expected with a watch of this age, and minor scratches on the crystal. Please view the photos to your comfort, and be aware that a black reflection from the camera lens could not be avoided in some of the photos.
