Up for sale is a 1940 Philco antique tube radio model 40-155 in a walnut Art Deco cabinet with claw feet, slant front, waterfall top, decorative zebra wood inlays and a slide rule dial in brass escutcheon.This is an 8 tube AM/SWPolice radio with internal loop antenna and fourrotary controls for on/off/volume, tone, bandselector and tuning, along with eight push buttons for automatic tuning.Radio was fully recapped, all tubes tested and replaced as needed.New dial light and power cord were installed.Chassis was cleaned and controls lubricated.AM reception is good. SW is more active late at night and may require an outdoor antenna.Cabinet was cleaned, hand rubbed with Finish Restorer and coated with clear lacquer.There are some minor wood blemishes (see pictures).New vintage grill cloth was installed.Cracked push buttons were replaced with exact reproduction parts.Dial graphics are pristine.All original Philco knobs are present and operate properly.Back cover and paper stickers are present.This radio is in very good condition, both cosmetically and functionally.Dimensions are : 19\"Lx12\"Wx11\"H It is heavy.Shipping cost to lower 48 states is $32.00Radio will be securely packed and shipped insured by FedEx Home DeliveryFree local pick up.Thank you and Good Luck!
