Authentic antique piano stool made by the Charles Parker Company of Meriden, Connecticut.Makers\' mark is on the cast iron spindle, at underside of seat. The mahogany stain on thewood is somewhat worn but the color is a fairly even medium brown, more consistent than it appears in the bright light inourphotographs. Per Condition Description: Height is not adjustable.Some nicks, a shallowcrackin seat. Some corrosion on metal fittings that hold the glassfeet (see photos); the metal may be brass.

Measures 19 1/4\" tallx 14 1/4\" across theround seat top. Weighs 14 pounds, estimated package weight is22 pounds.Will be thoroughly padded and carefully packed for secure, intact delivery.

Related companies founded by Charles Parker include Parker Brothers (gun manufacturer), Meriden Curtain Fixture Co. (established 1869), and Parker & Whipple Co. clock manufacturers. The company\'sArt Brass waslargely focused on tables and shelves; examples are in the Brooklyn Museum, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute museum in Utica, New York, the St. Louis Art Museum, and Yale University Art Gallery.
