Antique Pink French Silk Confection! Gown Dress 2 Piece Lace Boning

We believe this would date to the 1890s, with the gathered sleeves and lovely ruffling.

Please note we had to pin this on the form, it was too small for our smallest dress form. The front top would lay much nicer than shown.

A beautiful pattern in pink silk.

The top is mainly hand sewn and the skirt is treadle sewn. Gathered sleeves end in sweeping french lace trimming.

The top has a thin light cream lining with boning, there are two single bones inside the waist belt. There are hook closures all the way up the top.

The top measures 17 1/2\" long in the front, 15\" long in the back, 19\" c waist, 31\" c chest but it does puff out a little so there may be a little more room, it is 14\" shoulder to shoulder, it has 14 1/2\" c armpit holes, 22\" sleeve length including the lace cuffs, 8\" c sleeve opening right before the lace cuffs start

The skirt is 41\" long in the front, 43\" long in the back, and has a 20\" waist.

Good condition, not perfect but wonderful, especially considering the material and the age. Please study all the photos, as we have photographed all flaws.

There is some wear on the top of the collar, a couple little pink bleeding spots on the collar and on the piece behind the lace, a couple little tears to the piece behind the lace on the chest, and the top has a couple very light spots. There are a couple spots of wear on the top edge of the skirt and a couple little tears near the top edge, few other small tears throughout the skirt, there are thin light ghost marks scattered throughout, a few faded black spots/marks, they are mainly towards the bottom, and there are a couple repairs at the very bottom of the skirt.
