We are pleased to offer this Antique Pirkenhammer Demitasse Bohemia Cup and Saucer. This set is decoratedin hues of rich cobalt blue and terracotta highlighted with copious amounts ofgilt. This demitasse cup andsaucer was produced in Austria by Fischer and Mieg for Pirkenhammer. This crossed hammers mark is that ofFischer & Mieg of Pirkenhammer, Bohemia (previously Austria, laterCzechoslovakia).
This mark was used from 1873 – 1918. The saucer is 4 1/2 inches in diameter andthe cup is 2 1/8 inches high. The ground color of the border is cobalt blue.The decoration of Chelsea type birds and the gilded trim are completely handpainted. This demitasse cup and saucer is in very good condition. This Cup andSaucer would make a beautiful display piece and will make a great addition toyour collection.
