signed i. Dixon lower right. the painting is done on the artist canvas on cardboard and it was cut to this size so artist had another canvas to paint on beside this one. actually 2 sides were cut two are original edge. artists are frugal people it just about fills this opening in frame. there is some wear as to be usual on these types of late Victorian frames but overall it is in good condition as you may know some of these old frames will over time shift and need to be straightened out again but not unusual and not hard to do. (it happens when old glue drys out. on corners but this one is ok wear but not abuse.
