Up for sale is an antique wood primitive twig decorated stencil decorated storage box recently found at sale in the Lancaster County, PA area. It is found in good used condition. Condition issues includes losses to the edges, best seen in photo #12 for details. Quite dirty, it could benefit from a proper cleaning. Wonderful design with 1/2 twigs that have been cut in half, then applied to the sides. The top appears to be similar wood that has been cut into cross sections, cut thin and applied than as a veneer. Box interior is a soft wood. Top decorated with a flourish style stencil, perhaps free hand. Hard to tell. Appears to be in German, but hard to read. Nice daisy or similar style flower painted in upper right hand corner. Probably late 19th C. Has a black forest feel to it. Measures approximately 8 1/4\" x 5 1/2\" x 3 5/8\" in size.
