Antique Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee Jug by Doulton Lambeth

This listing is for aDoulton Lambeth tan & brown pottery pitcher that was made to commemorate her 1897 Diamond Julbilee. The jug is stoneware with a sterling silver rim at the top. There are two profiles of the Queen, one as a young Queen and the other in her Jubilee year. The jug has embossed decoration of Thistles and Tudor Roses. The words \'Dei Gratia Victoria Queen and Empress 1837 1897\" are written on the darker top area and the words \"\"She wrought her people lasting good\" are written in slip on the lower portion. Impressed in the bottom of the pitcher is \"Doulton Lambeth England\" and several potter’s symbolsas well as the number 7395. The pitcher is approximately 5 1/4\" tall, 5 1/4” wide from handle to spout, and 4 1/2\"deep. This pitcher is in very good condition for its age.There is one chip visible only from the interior near the top edge (right where the stoneware meets the sterling), as shown in the last photo. Also, there are some cracks in the sterling silver rim where it bends over the stoneware. No major damages, but we try to be as accurate as humanely possible.
