While at an estate sale for an elderly neighbor who loved pottery, I came across this lovely large vasewhose glaze remindedme of some of my early Weller pieces.I couldn\'t resist.After checking my Collector\'s Encyclopedia of Weller Pottery, Huxford, I found a single matching picture on Page 322 and reference to the pattern line onPage 138 (Ohio Historical Society photo). The pattern is Crystalline but no date was stated so I\'m still researching that. Anyway, Ilove the old drippy glaze with imperfections and crazing because I think it givesthe piececharacter (there is a very fine hairline on the top) of this 13\" tall vase. I even think the size is unusual - 13\" tall and a heavy 5 3/4lbs.The mouth is 7 1/4\" in diameter and the base is 5 1/4\" diameter. Please look at all the photos carefully and e-mail me with any questions. A great collectible for the Weller lover that has it all!
