This antique RS Prussia centerpiece bowl carries the \"nickel\" mark on its reverse, used to identify the many unmarked pieces from this German maker of beautiful porcelain. The center cartouche features a sprig of old fashioned roses in pale pink and yellow and this same floral motif is repeated around the scalloped edges of the bowl. The panels are coated in gold and there is gold moriage, raised gold swirls and raised flowers throughout the decoration.This measures 10\" across and about 4\" high. Very Good condition with no chiggers or mended damage. The gold is still vibrant and the pale roses are still holding their color. It does show the effects of aging on the reverse and on the white center, which is slightly discolored. Some rubbing of the gold is noticed in one spot. There is an extremely faint X-shaped mark on the reverse and some circular crazing.
