This is a most intriguing portrait of Napoleon Bonaparte. I believe it is wax, based on one like this, that I saw years ago, which was of that material. However, I can\'t take this apart to make sure. Super detail in this wonderful piece. Instantly recognizable as the famed French Emperor. Framed size is approximately 7 1/4\" X 6 1/4\" and the size of the portrait/silhouette itself is approximately 2 1/4\" X 1 1/2\". One can see from the back that this piece has considerable age. In excellent condition except for some wear to the one corner of the frame. From the estate of the 14,000sq.ft. beach house here in N.C. The quality of their pieces was just exceptional.
