PLEASE NOTE: LOCAL PICK UP ONLY, MAY AGREE TO MEET OR DROP OFF DEPENDING ON LOCATION. I purchased this mirrored antique shaving stand at an estate sale. It is in very good antique condition.There is one area on the top of the mirror\'s frame where there is minor cracking in the wood and a piece of the frame is lifting. This can be glued/ repaired, I did not want to attempt it. This small area is not noticeable and does not hinder the use of this piece. I have tried doing extensive research on this item and I have not had much luck in obtaining similar examples/samples of this particilar piece. My research has led me to believe it is of European origin. The unique quality of the burled wood is rare, along with the curved front design. It is a dark wood with a very nice finish. I am not sure what kind of wood it is. I could guess but I would hate to misrepresent. There is an oval lift top compartment in the front section. There are some hand carvings along the sides. The wooden frame of the mirror was constructed in multiple parts/ pieces (15) which are glued together to make the frame. The mirror swivels. The quality of the mirror is as would be expected of a mirror of this age. There are small dark specks throughout. (rust spots?) This does not show up well in the photos. A beautiful antique piece, the craftmanship is unique and of a fine quality.MEASUREMENTS:
