Antique Rare HTF 15” Bisque Head Georgene Averill Kestner Bonnie Babe Doll A/O:
$199.99

This sale is for a rare, hard to find and all original antique 15” Georgene Averill Bonnie Babe doll. These sweet dolls are more commonly found in the all bisque size, and less commonly found in this size with a bisque head as opposed to a compo head. She has a solid dome bisque socket head that turns. It is free of any hairlines, chips, etc. Her hair is painted. The doll has stationary glass eyes, an open mouth with tongue, two tiny bottom teeth, cheek dimples and her original cloth body with a non working crier. The eyes were sleep eyes at one time, but were permanently set at some point in time. I snippeda little of thetacking at one shoulder to remove her head and have added a picture to the listing. I also have stuffed the head to protect the plaster during shipping and reattached it to the body. I am unsure if there is a very tiny rub on her left cheek as it is where her dimple is. You be the judge. Her compo forearms and hands have some crazing as shown. (I could put you in touch with someone well known in thedoll community and on that does impeccable and reasonable compo restoration if you so choose.) She is wearing what I believe to be her factory original clothing which consists of adress, slip, panties, socks and shoes. The shoes look like they might have had a buckle adornment at the toes at one time, but they are now gone. They do retain their original laces. Clothing shows minimal wear commensurate with age. I added the pink ribbon bow to her head which will go along with her. Please note, there will be no further reductions to my starting price. If unsold, she will go back into my collection and may or may not be relisted in the future. Please look at all the pictures as they are a big part of the description. If you need any other pictures, or if you have questions, please ask before placing a offer. Also, please take the time to look at my sales for other dolls I have listed. Thank you!Reference only: Bonnie Babe bisque heads were produced in Germanyby Alt, Beck & Gottschalk or Kestner. Georgene registered a U. S. trademarkof Bonnie Babe in 1926.Payment:PayPal only with payment expected within 3 days of the sale’s close. Thankyou!Shipping: Because some of these dolls are larger andwill ship in heavier boxes, Priority ship might be too costly for you. I amgiving you two options for shipping – Priority or USPS Ground calculated toyour location. Both options will include insurance and tracking. I will notbe willing to ship any doll I have listed uninsured this time of year. Thankyou!
