This antique unusual violin is called a practice violin or silent violin. We are not violin experts, and are attempting to list this with as much information as we know. Please feel free to ask us questions and for further photos.We do know that the bow that came with this piece was from Germany, so we would assume this piece is as well. There are no makers Mark\'s anywhere and we have not attempted to clean or restore it in anyway. As you can see some of the strings are missing, as are a few other pieces. The parts that are attached to the violin are original. It measures approximately 23 inches long and slightly under 8 inches wide. It is hand made with a slight beveled edge. There are some areas of scratching and wear to the wood, but no cracking or obvious repairs. The construction does seem to be very solid. The knobs are ebony and if it were restored you should be able to play it.
