PLEASE NOTE: We are listing an interesting Cabinet Photo of a Girl, possibly a herder, posing with her dog. He is either a Border Collie or an English Shepherd.
We will be listing more antique images, some featuring dogs.The opening offer is our reserve.This is an charming antique Real Photo Postcard. A handsome and well dressed young man poses with his best friend. His beautiful Border Collie is perched on top of a wicker chair. The back is scripted in pencil \"Harold Tomlin and his dog\". We believe this photo was taken from 1908 to 1912 or so. It was not mailed and is in good condition. The photo is black and white with a brownish, slightly bluish color and has very good contrast. The a narrow 1/4 inch vertical band at the left edge is more of a golden brown color. This cannot be seen in our photo above due to enhancing our photos to approximate the tones of the original. This is a lovely image. With glare, you see some silvery sheen from the old silver nitrate used. Also with glare, you see a light crease at the upper right corner tip. The postcard measures 1 3/8 by 5 3/8 inches. What a lovely photo of Harold and his Border Collie!Please email any questions regarding the photo and shipping.
