Case is rough. This antique guitar being sold as is for restoration. I am unsure of whether it was made in Germany or France but the repair label inside bears the label of Andreas Rieger, Munich. Any interesting information on this would be greatly appreciated Local buyer can pick up or I will bring it to Fed ex or UPS to be shipped at buyers expense Andreas (I) Born 1836, d. after 1896 was the Son and pupil of Joseph Rieger. He worked for Bauer in Stuttgart, before moving to Munich 1870. There he worked in repair and restoration of musical instruments. Fiorini married his daughter in 1889 and became his partner and successor in1896. Reiger was a highly respected connoisseur and restorer who also made instruments later in his career. He
retired in 1896 and returned to Mittenwald. Andras Rieger / Saiten-Instrumentenmacher...His partner, Giuseppe Fiorini, is regarded as one of the finest instrument makers of the late 19th and early 20th Centuries. He Studied violin making with his father, Raffaele, in Bologna and set up his own workshop in Italy before moving to Munich. In 1888, having married the daughter of Andreas Rieger, became partner in the firm \"Rieger and Fiorini\" (1889–1914). He established himself in Germany, such that he was a founder of the German Violin-Makers\' Society, and served as President for several years.[1]
