Antique Royal Bayreuth Bavaria Porcelain Corinthian Ware GreekMotif Pitcheror Creamer is over 100years old. The unique pitcher is from the full-color Corinthian line in a matt finish is inlovely used condition. This pitcher has a matte black handle and matte black sections on top and bottom, the center red is high gloss. The are ribbons of patterns in reds and green sbetween the black and red sections. There is a figure on both sides of the pitcher. The inside starts with a pretty green and quickly graduate to a white.

Dimension: 5 \" tall,3.5 \" wide at the base (not counting handle), 3 \" diameter

Condition: No chips, cracks or repairs.Purchased in early 1960s from a little thrift shop in Macomb, Illinois

The Corinthian line camein full color and limited color. There were three distinct finishes: linen (tapestry), satin (matte) orhigh gloss

The pitcher has the blue marking Royal Bayreuth emblem which date it from 1902to 1917 as in 1917 the factory burned down. Logo after 1900, it further evolved intotwo rampant lions facing each other with shields, the words \"RoyalBayreuth,\" \"Bavaria\" and \"Priv. 1794\" in a bannerdesign.

Royal Bayreuth(RB) is a truly unique, hard white-paste porcelain manufactured in Tettau, Germany,predominantly from 1795 through 1917. Several devastating fires experienced bythe company during that time destroyed the factory, offices, molds and recordswhich effectively stopped most of the manufacturing of their unique noveltywares (and exclusive finishes) exported around the world. Later Royal Bayreuth produced only finedinnerware.
