Today I am offering a very cool Gibson girl Royal Doulton plate. The plate has a beautiful picture of the famed Gibson girls of the early years of the 20th century. It is signed, I can\'t really make out the signature.
It either says CD Culson or Wilson. The mark on the back is Royal Doulton with the lion on top of a crown. It says copyright 1900 by Life Publishing Co. The condition is very good. There is age crazing and some brown age staining. Typical of this kind of pottery. There is a very miniscule chip on the edge. It has been there a very long time and has since turned brown. I\'m telling you about this, since I am not sure it would come out in pictures. On the back there is a small indentation. I believe this happened at the factory. It does not feel like a chip. The plate is approx. 9 1/4 inches long.
