Up for sale we offer a Rare & Stunning Antique by Royal Doulton. This Art Pottery figurel covered teapot is modeled with her name \"Sarah Gamp\" on back. The Teapot stands 7\" tall by 8.5\" wide across from spout to handle. the Pot has the Royal Doulton green Lion & Crown hallmark circa the first part of the 1900\'s with Reg\'d number 832781. The Teapot is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, scratches, crazing or repairs. She is all hand painted in keeping with the Art Pottery Studios of Royal Doulton Art Pottery. Sarah or Sairey Gamp is a nurse in the novel Martin Chuzzlewit byCharles Dickens,first published as aserial in 1843–1844. Sairey was anurse of the early Victorian era, before the reforms of campaigners like Florence Nightingale.
Really a beautiful piece of rare & delightful Royal Doulton Art Pottery. This is a Cadillac piece for any Royal Doulton collector. The last one we had sold for $1,275. some years back. So there is plenty of room to make money on the investment here as the economy improves. Please check out our pictures for a better visual description.
