Opulence is the only word that comes to my mind in describing this rare beauty. Thin porcelain with heavy outer rim gilding and exquisitely detailed hand painting make this plate a gem. Produced when Bohemia was still part of Austria I believe this plate to have been manufactured between 1891-1917. No chips, no cracks, no stains, and no repairs. I don\'t even see any utensil scratches. The only very minor defect is some top rim gilding wear most likely from long term use in a plate holder. Since I picked this plate up at an estate sale I have to wonder if it was a family heirloom that has been lost. I will be adding insurance at no additional cost to this shipment due to the rarity and value of the plate.
