Antique Russian Icon \"Saint John The Baptist\" (in Russian \"Святой Иоанн Креститель\" ), wood board, gesso, egg tempera, in wooden kiot adorned with thin metallic decoration inside of kiot (around the icon), made in old Russian traditional style,19th century.

The words on the icon: \"Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near,\" Matthew 3:2.

Size of kiot: 20.5\" x 18\" x 4.25\" inches (52 x 45.75 x 11cm)
