Early 1900s antique saloon back bar bottle / club shape decanter - brand owner is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - height is just over 8 1/2 inches; in incised / cut dull gold script: W.C. WILKINSON\'S / FINE GIN fancy lettering; the bottle has vertical panels inside the glass; the bottle was found without a stopper; near excellent overall condition - the bottle is clean (might have just a tiny bit of haze) with no chips, cracks, etc.;the goldleaf in the lettering has turned dull and there is some wear on the gold in the word WILKINSON\'S; unusual to see the word GIN on a back bar bottle - usually the word GIN is the only word on the bottle.According to pre-pro.com, William C. Wilkinson operatedup to about 1917 in the liquor business in Philadelphia.
