Hi, You\'re looking at a Scarce seldom seen Robert White of St Andrew wood shaft golf club. This smooth face iron likely a Lofting Iron as it does have some loft to it. This Iron is circa late 1880s-1890s as Mr White was a blacksmith who pioneer in making iron heads. The headis in good aged patina condition - some light rust/pitting spots as after all this is over 100 years old club. The head stampings R WHITE - Maker - St Andrews are generally good and mostly there. The smooth face has added tiny letters of LW all over. The leading sole has small dents including one noticeable on heel. The hosel is approx 4 3/4\". The replacement stamped R Forgan shaft has a slight bend in the middle but has no cracks and looks pretty stout. it does have some movement to the head. The pin is noted and might have been re-pinned at some point. The club length is 38 1/2\". The leather grip is complete with some light wear and separation. A seldom seen club from one of the earliest maker and a must for serious collector. The swing weight is D3
