A nice antique Bronze statue of a man. This figure is an original artist signed Bronze antique casting (see photos). The item is signed on the base by the artist: Ludwig Graefner of Germany (see photos). The artist was active in the 1800\'s and early 1900s (see photos). This statue depicts what looks to be a Roman Warrior with a shield. The statue has a separation in the shoulder where the arm joins the torso. This is where the bronze was cast originally in sections (to be more easily removed from the mold) and it has become separated from age and handling (see photos). The arm stays in position without problem. The statue is missing a spear he one held in his hand and he is missing a plume to the top of his helmet (see photos). The item has some wear to the patina from age and handling (see photos for the condition of this item). The bronze has been cast well with fine attention to detail (see photos). This item in total measures about 1 foot 6 inches high. I would date this item to be 100 + years old.
