Antique (1880\'s to 1900) Seidel & Naumann hand operated sewing machine. It is in very good working condition. Much of the gold scroll work is gone, but the original flowers grouping decal is still in excellent condition. The machine has an original needle and other feet and accessories that are housed in the accessory compartment. The base is beautiful wood with an inlayed length of ruler. It has the original silver cover that covers gears and the round gold embossed logo. The machine may have been inset in a sewing stand or a protable case. the bottom of the base is covered in wood. The machine sits on the wood and is attached with hinges and a locking device with a button to raise the machine for service. It has been cleaned and oiled, so it can be used.
