Antique Sheffield New York Cast Iron Horse Head & Brass Hoof Fireplace AndironsFantastic pair of regal looking english andirons with a horse head and bit supported by a highly detailed bronze hoof base. These andirons were made in Sheffield in the 1950s. Chain included (often missing in other sales of this item).
Rare set of antique Sheffield andirons featuring a black cast iron horse head on top of a brass horse hoof. They are in great vintage condition, but do have wear, paint loss, and tarnish consistent with their age. They stand just under 17 inches tall and are 23 inches long. Each one weighs over 15 lbs.
