Antique Sheridan Silver on Copper Coffee Pot and SAMOVAR Urn (2) Coffee, Tea Pot:
$475.00

This sale is for TWO HTF Antique Sheridan (Silver on Copper) pieces. One is a SAMOVAR, by Sheridan of Taunton, MA. It is a Samovar Urn, Coffee Pot, Hot Water Pot made of silver on copper and ornately decorated!! it is a full 19\" tall and stands on 4 dolphin shaped legs. The other piece is a Sheridan Coffee Pot that is 9.5 inches tall and 8.5 inches wide. The coffee pot is in mint condition, no scratches or dents and the lid opens and closes well.

This heavy silver plate over copper coffee or hot water urn comes with an alcohol burner. It has a very ornate, heavily decorated base with dolphin shaped feet and an ornate spout handle. The lid is removable for filling or cleaning. The burner is also removable for lighting or filling. The spigot is operated by pulling the handle down to open or back up to close. The urn is marked on the bottom but is smudged so the marking is unclear. The alcohol burner is marked Sheridan Silver Co. and is original to the urn.
It has three hallmarks for the Sheridan Silver Co., and also the words \"SILVER ON COPPER\".
This is not a percolator and will only keep liquids hot. I believe this dates C.1960. Size: Height - 19 inches. It holds a little over 10 cups of liquid.

Condition: It has a very tiny bit of tarnishing and is in excellent condition. There are no heavy scratches, dents, bends or breaks. There are no wear spots to the plating. It has it\'s original alcohol burner. The handle to dispense liquids lifts down easily and the pour spout opens and closes as it should. The wick of the alcohol burner has never been lit. The little cap of the alcohol burner is opened and closed with a twist of the handle, to light or extinguish the burner. The top of the burner twists off to refill with fuel or change the wick.

Two legs are a tiny bit wobbly but once set on the sink, the URN is very sturdy. The inside of the coffee pot has been used and is dark but the outside is shiny and in excellent condition. There is one tiny scratch on the front above the spigot but it\'s hard to see and one tiny scratch on the back, again, hard to see. The spigot doesn\'t look straight to me but I don\'t want to twist it and risk any damage to the URN. I will let the new buyer do that.

The urn was appraised at $599 and I have greatly discounted the price because of these few flaws.
